P.S., The corp of the ganker apologized profusely and booted the ganker out of corp, apparently karma does exist. He made 300 mil off a successful risk and got booted out of a corp he joined yesterday which he probably didn’t plan to stay in.

Heh, had a similar thing happen on Wednesday last. We found a can that was mislabelled “Other stuff” that happened to have in it [among other things] a prodigious amount of melted nanoribbons from our early days in the wormholes. At one point they were fairly worthless and we had just tossed them in the can with other stuff.
Sadly, the nanoribbons made it to market and/or production without so much as a targeting system being activated; however, the true ‘other stuff’ didn’t fair so well. There was a large amount of gases that we just decided to liquidate instead of try and re-import and react. On the last trip into Jita, the itty V hauling about 12 million in gasses was executed. While sad that they would gank something that had no hope of paying off, sadder still was the follow-up EVEmail offering restoration of ‘contraband’ in return for ‘restitution’ and ‘admission’ of guilt.

Guys. There’s a whole profession called hauling. Contract haul this stuff. Set the collateral above the sell price to discourage scamming and set a decent enough reward and your stuff will make it just fine. If you’re concerned about costs, haul it as far as you feel comfortable and just contract it the next few jumps.
