First Carrier Sold
Posted: 2011-04-04 Filed under: industry, market | Tags: thanatos 10 CommentsMy first carrier came out of the oven this weekend and I immediately put it up on the market.
Mineral Cost: 617.7 M
BPC Costs: 163.8 M
Total Cost: 781.5 M
Sold: 918 M
Profit: +135.5 M
I spent 6.746 B on some BPOs in order to reduce the BPC costs.
Capital Construction Parts BPO, ME 10
Capital Corporate Hangar Bay BPO, ME 10
Capital Drone Bay BPO, ME 50
Capital Jump Drive BPO, ME 10
Thanatos BPO, ME 4
So far, so good. I’ve got a Thanatos and Archon coming out of the oven this week and the Capital Parts under construction for a Chimera.
The main bottleneck is that a 1 run BPC of a carrier takes 1 month, 14 days, and 10 hours; I may have to spend more and get 2-3 copies of each carrier BPO once I get my wallet back up to a nice level.
Market Alert : Logistics
Posted: 2011-02-08 Filed under: market | Tags: basilisk, guardian, oneiros, scimitar 7 CommentsI’ve been watching Logistics over the past month and the Basilisk, Guardian, and Oneiros all have spiked up ~40 M to a new high in Jita. If you have any for sale in non-Forge regions, buy them and haul to Jita. The Scimitar has not seen the same price increase.
It takes ISK to make ISK

Custom Wallet Manager
Posted: 2011-01-21 Filed under: market | Tags: industry, trade 23 CommentsA few months ago, a corp mate and I started trading and we needed a centralized method of monitoring our activity. We tried a few programs such as eve commander, but we wanted more out of the system. My corp mate James has helped me design and code up a custom wallet manager.
James picked the framework, introduced me to the coding methodology, and wrote a lot of the database queries given his strong programming background. I helped out by defining what we should report on, what stats were the most valuable, and a little theme design.
What we have now is a pretty solid beta of our wallet program. We do not currently have any plans to publicly release the code, but things might change as we finalize the project.

2 Month Trading Update
Posted: 2010-12-28 Filed under: market | Tags: profit, trade 5 CommentsThings have been going really well in tradingland. My partner and I have written a custom wallet site that pulls in our data from the Eve API based on the Yii framework.
We’ve developed some nice graphs to show historical sales data, reports on the top items, and how well certain groups (Battleships, Fuel, etc) are selling.
Sample Item Graph
2 Month Profit Graph in M of ISK
Liquid ISK: 5.4 B
Freighters and ship assets: 5.53 B
Character 1 Sell Orders: 6.18 B
Character 2 Sell Orders: 1.42 B
Net Worth: 18.53 B
