Some 60 Aideron Robotics pilots gathered in order to save two Rorquals from Caldari lowsec last night. Kirith Kodachi has an outline of the rescue operation here.
I’m making a move to stop being a Jita Bear and to undock and lose things. Eleventybillion ISK isn’t any fun if you can’t watch it explode with friends. After a few days in Aideron Robotics, I’ve already started to change things and I have set a plan in motion that I will report on after we conduct the op. I can’t disclose any details besides it will feature many billions of ships exploding, [OPSEC], and [OPSEC].
Side Note: The phrase “risk tanking” came from o7: The EVE Online Show. Episode 3 where CCP Seagull said “risk taking”, but it sounded more like “risk tanking”. Risk Tanking is a much more amazing term and I hope it becomes part of the Eve lexicon.
I spent a few hours moving a Rorqual to my new home system and almost got caught making a fatal mistake because of my lack of knowledge regarding standings if you are in Factional Warfare. It turns out that standings can affect where you dock when you are in FW.
Since this was my first capital operation since the Phoebe expansion, I wasn’t prepared for the amount of jumps Dotlan pulled it. I was thinking that it was going to be a simple 2-3 jump operation, but actually came out to 7.
Everything was going according to plan until I hit the Ofstold system, which is an Amarr system.
[ 2014.12.06 06:40:34 ] (info) You have been denied access for the following reason: The Amarr Empire denies access to Factional Warfare enemies. Either assist the Minmatar Republic to capture this system or retire from the war.
I paused for a second, let out an audible curse, and checked local — empty. The quickly formulated backup plan that came to mind was to warp to the sun, create a safe inline, and warp to the newly created safe. If someone came into local, I was going to log off and wait them out until I got my cyno character in position in the next system.
I was able to get my character in position in the next system, wait out the 12 minute fatigue timer, and safely land on the next station.
Even if you have been playing Eve for 5 years, there are still areas of the game that surprise me. I was quite lucky that the system that I could not dock in was currently empty.

I’ve got a good base for Gallente so I just need to round out some Drone and support skills.
The Bowhead is a great addition to the Eve lineup. I finally got the chance to play around with the ship on the test server today. I’m excited to see these around space and on killboards.
tl;dr Sale prices for Tech 2 BPOs are down an average of 47% after the Crius release.
Over the past few years I have been watching prices for publicly traded Tech 2 BPOs and attempting to record the values to the best of my ability.
Some sales completed non-publicly, some were vastly inflated, and some never sold. There is most certainly a lot of inaccuracy in the datapoints given the speculative nature of the Tech 2 BPO market, yet they still serve as guiding value to help us value the BPO.
The Post Crius Marketplace
The volume of posts in the official Sell Orders section of the forums are down, sellers are getting trolled, and people are re-running numbers to reprice the value of the BPOs trying to justify a much lower cost. I’ve seen a lot of CCP Dev intervention to clean up threads and keep people on topic. Overall the market is rather anemic.
I’ve started to accumulate a decent amount of daily index data and have started to use it to look at larger trends. Here’s a snapshot of Deklein region over the past 97 days.
